Product Description
The connecting arm is crafted from ultra-hard 7075-T6 aluminum alloy, featuring an asymmetrical, double-layered L-shaped stacked design for superior strength and rigidity. The main body includes multiple parallel mounting openings—such as sliding and transverse slots—for secure attachment to the base or drive mechanism. One end is integrated with a circular bore, enabling connection via a clamp ring or bearing to form a pivot joint. The opposite end extends into a reinforced cantilever section with strategically placed ribs and a long window cutout—designed not only to reduce weight but also to provide precise elastic adjustment space, ideal for applications requiring displacement compensation or fine-tuning.
High-accuracy sawing and cutting of the 7075-T6 aluminum sheet are performed according to the required outline. After blanking, the material undergoes equalization and stress-relief treatment to eliminate internal rolling stresses, preventing deformation during subsequent processing stages.
Utilizing advanced CNC milling equipment, the blank is rough-milled to quickly remove excess material and establish the approximate shape of the connecting arm—including cavity grooves and reinforcement rib profiles. A machining tolerance of 0.2–0.3 mm is maintained, with backholes prepared for subsequent precision operations.
Replacing the tooling with semi-precision cutters, key areas of the connecting arm are refined. This stage corrects gross machining deviations, optimizes contour accuracy of void channels and mounting surfaces, reduces machining allowance, and enlarges hole dimensions uniformly—ensuring consistent chip removal during final precision machining.
Employing high-precision CNC milling systems and custom hard alloy cutting tools, the final shaping is completed in a single operation. All critical features—including multi-pivot positioning holes, tree bores, mounting surfaces, and hollow structures—are precisely formed. Strict control is applied to hole coaxiality, surface flatness, and overall dimensional tolerances, guaranteeing seamless integration with carrier components.
The machined connecting arm is manually deburred and chamfered to eliminate sharp edges. It is then cleaned using ultrasonic technology to gently remove aluminum burrs, oil residues, and surface contaminants, ensuring a pristine finish.
First, the part undergoes 120# sandblasting to create a uniform matte texture, removing tool marks and enhancing oxide layer adhesion. Subsequently, orange anodizing is applied to form a dense, protective aluminum oxide film. This process significantly improves wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and radiation protection, effectively extending service life under harsh conditions.
