Step 1: Raw Material Preparation & Rough Machining

High-quality SS304 stainless steel bar stock is selected and cut to the required length, accounting for total dimensions, machining tolerances, and sealing needs—ensuring a stable foundation for subsequent processing. The CNC lathe then performs rapid rough machining using hard alloy cutting tools, shaping the outer contour, limit steps, threaded section, and drive end blank. This stage removes excess material while preserving precision allowances and minimizing internal stress and deformation risk.

Step 2: Precision Machining & Dimensional Accuracy

After rough machining, the part undergoes aging treatment to relieve internal stresses, followed by high-precision finishing on a rigid CNC lathe. Key features include:

• Outer cylindrical surfaces machined for superior coaxiality and surface finish (Ra ≤ 0.8 μm).
• Flat anti-rotation feature in the middle section formed via combined turning and milling processes.
• High-precision M12 × 1.75 external threads produced using dedicated thread-forming tools, with strict control over pitch, profile angle, and dimensional accuracy.

Step 3: Surface Finishing & Quality Inspection

Following precision machining, thorough inspection is conducted to remove burrs, sharp edges, and machining imperfections. A subsequent electrolytic polishing process eliminates surface oxides, micro-cracks, and fine tool marks, resulting in a uniformly smooth, mirror-like finish. This enhances corrosion resistance, reduces friction during assembly, and improves both the tactile experience and long-term performance of the component.
