一、What is Powder Metallurgy

Powder metallurgy is a manufacturing process that uses metal powders (or mixtures of metal and non-metal powders) as raw materials to produce metal materials and products through pressing and sintering. This process primarily involves three core steps: First, the main constituent materials are prepared into fine granular powders. Next, the powders are loaded into mold cavities, where high pressure is applied to form green compacts with predetermined shapes and dimensions. Finally, the green compacts undergo sintering at high temperatures (below the material's melting point), enabling them to achieve atomic diffusion and metallurgical bonding, resulting in robust final products.
