This precision-engineered block mill is crafted from high-strength 7075 aluminum alloy using advanced CNC Milling technology. Featuring a symmetrical U-shaped or semi-circular design with a central arc-shaped cavity, it provides ideal space for winding and securing components such as shafts, rods, or handles. Two through holes at each end enable secure fastening and accurate positioning via bolts or screws.
The strategic layout of the openings ensures uniform load distribution, effectively preventing localized stress concentration. With smooth contour lines and gently radiused edges, this design enhances both ease of assembly and long-term structural durability.
Aluminum 7075 alloy sheets are cut to size according to the external dimensions and machining allowances required for the locking buckle. The material then enters the rough machining phase, where excess material is rapidly removed using a high-stiffness CNC milling machine. During this stage, the semi-circular contour and pre-drilled end holes are milled. Critical tolerances on shape and position are strictly controlled to minimize residual cutting stresses and reduce the risk of deformation during subsequent precision operations.
Following rough machining, the component undergoes aging treatment to relieve internal stresses. It then proceeds to ultra-precision CNC milling. The inner arc surface is fully machined in one pass, ensuring exceptional roundness, surface finish, and perfect alignment with the central axis. The end mounting holes are processed through a multi-stage procedure involving drilling, chamfering, and threading—using a dedicated thread milling cutter to produce precise M8 × 1.25 threads. Hole diameter, profile angle, and passage clearance are tightly controlled to ensure reliable and stable connection performance. Simultaneously, the mounting surfaces at both ends are precisely milled to guarantee even force distribution upon installation.
After precision machining, the part undergoes a comprehensive inspection and deburring process. Sharp edges, tool marks, and burrs on the threads, curved surfaces, and perimeters are meticulously removed to prevent scratches and ensure smooth assembly. The component then receives a sandblasting treatment, creating a uniform, fine matte finish that eliminates machining artifacts and improves surface adhesion for subsequent coatings.
Finally, an anodizing process is applied to form a dense, protective oxide layer on the aluminum surface. This significantly enhances wear resistance, corrosion protection, and electrical insulation properties, making the component highly suitable for demanding industrial applications.
