Manufacturing Process Overview

Initially, a 6061 aluminum rod is precisely cut to rough dimensions using a CNC cutting machine, with machining allowances reserved for subsequent processes before being transferred to milling.

Endoscope Connector Housing Milling

Utilizing a five-axis joint machining center, the part is securely clamped with custom fixtures to enable single-setup completion of all milling stages: rough milling, semi-precision milling, and final precision milling. First, rough milling rapidly removes excess material (leaving a 0.2–0.3 mm allowance). Next, semi-precision milling refines the surface and reference planes to meet strict geometric and positional tolerances. Finally, high-precision coated cutting tools are employed for the critical features—such as the threaded interface and other functional surfaces—ensuring exceptional accuracy. This integrated approach effectively eliminates multiple setup errors and maintains dimensional control within ±0.01mm.

Following CNC Milling, any internal cavities, sharp edges, or machining marks are meticulously removed through fine polishing, resulting in a flawless, smooth surface. The final step involves black anodizing treatment, which forms a dense oxide layer that enhances wear resistance, corrosion protection, and surface hardness—while also meeting stringent medical device standards and compatibility with environmental disinfection protocols.
