Advanced Machining Process & Material Selection

For this specific part, we selected L1214 low-carbon steel in a cold-drawn bright bar form with a standard diameter of Φ22 mm. Utilizing our state-of-the-art TSUGAMI CCRP high-precision CNC turning center, we achieved superior accuracy and efficiency. Given the excellent machinability of L1214 steel:

• Roughing Operation: Spindle speed set at 3,500 rpm with a 0.2 mm material allowance to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Finishing Operation: Spindle speed increased to 4,500 rpm, combined with Mitsubishi ceramic inserts and tools featuring a 0.2 mm corner radius, enabling a smooth surface finish of Ra 0.8 μm with ease.

Complex Features & Quality Assurance

During the machining cycle, after completing the external step on one end, the workpiece was automatically cut off and gripped by the sub-spindle for secondary processing. The second end features a metric M10 × 1.25 fine thread (60° thread angle). Specialized forming tools were employed to ensure precise thread formation. All threads were rigorously inspected using certified M10 × 1.25 measuring gauges to guarantee dimensional consistency and compliance with specifications.
