For this order (10,000pcs), we selected L1214 low-carbon steel standard diameter Φ28 cold-drawn bright bar material. Utilising Precision CNC Turning Services, processing was conducted on a ‘TSUGAMI CCRP’ high-precision CNC turning centre (a fully automated turning centre equipped with automatic loading/unloading devices). Given the material's machinability as low-carbon steel, roughing was performed at 3000 rpm with a 0.2mm allowance. Finishing operations utilised a 3500 rpm spindle speed, paired with Mitsubishi ceramic inserts and tools featuring an R0.2 tip radius, effortlessly achieving a surface finish of R0.8. Following external step turning, drilling is performed. For step bearing bores requiring high dimensional accuracy, high-rigidity internal boring machines with indexable inserts are employed for finishing. This tooling offers two key advantages: rapid insert replacement and stable turning dimensions, ensuring precise internal bore tolerances.
