For this order of 10,000 pieces, we selected standard diameter Φ28 cold-drawn bright bar material made from L1214 low-carbon steel. Using our state-of-the-art Precision CNC Turning Services, the parts were processed on a TSUGAMI CCRP high-precision CNC turning center—a fully automated machine equipped with automatic loading and unloading systems for maximum efficiency and consistency.

Given the excellent machinability of L1214 low-carbon steel, we applied a roughing speed of 3,000 rpm with a 0.2 mm finishing allowance. For final finishing, the spindle speed was increased to 3,500 rpm, paired with Mitsubishi ceramic inserts and tools featuring an R0.2 tip radius, enabling us to achieve a flawless surface finish of Ra 0.8 μm effortlessly.

After external step turning, drilling operations were performed. For step bearing bores requiring exceptional dimensional accuracy, we employ high-rigidity internal boring machines equipped with indexable inserts. This tooling system offers two key advantages: rapid insert replacement and stable, consistent turning dimensions, ensuring tight internal bore tolerances and long-term reliability.
