Product Description
一、Types of CNC Turning Processes
Rough Turning
Aims to rapidly remove excess material using large cutting depths and feed rates. Highly efficient, suitable for initial shaping of shaft blanks and similar workpieces. Rough turning leaves a finishing allowance, often connecting with metal fabrication services and providing reference points for CNC Milling.
Finishing Turning
Emphasizes precision and surface quality using shallow depths of cut, high spindle speeds, and slow feed rates. Achieves dimensional tolerances of ±0.005mm and surface roughness Ra≤0.8μm. Suitable for precision components like motor shafts and valve cores, matching the accuracy of High Precision CNC Milling. Complex parts often require 5-Axis CNC Milling for completion.
Thread Machining
Processes internal and external threads using taps or dies, covering metric, imperial, and other types with precision up to 6H/6g. Used for fasteners like bolts and pipe fittings, requiring strict pitch and thread form accuracy. This process is often performed concurrently with Metal Turning Service, with some parts integrated with Laser Cutting Service for flange fabrication.
Formed Surface Machining
Precise machining of complex surfaces like arcs, tapered surfaces, and eccentric shapes is achieved through CNC interpolation. Suitable for components such as cams and spherical valve cores. Toolpath optimization is required, with some parts necessitating 3D modeling and parameter presetting via Precision Milling Service.
