Surface Treatment Processes for CNC Turning

Electroplating Processes

Zinc plating significantly enhances the corrosion resistance of CNC Turned Parts, making it particularly suitable for agricultural machinery components and architectural hardware used outdoors. The treated surface exhibits a bright finish, and passivation treatment can further enhance protective properties. Chromium Plating Primarily applied to Casting Mold components and hydraulic piston rods in high-wear environments, achieving a hardness of HV800-1000. This process extends part lifespan by 2-3 times.

Oxidation Treatment

Anodizing is the preferred process for aluminum alloy parts, forming a 5-25μm oxide film that provides corrosion resistance and supports multi-color dyeing. Blackening is primarily used for steel components, creating a dense black oxide layer that combines rust prevention with aesthetic appeal.

Polishing Processes

Mechanical polishing achieves surface roughness as low as Ra 0.025μm, commonly applied to precision CNC turning components like bearings and seals. Electrolytic polishing excels for complex-shaped stainless steel parts, effectively removing microscopic surface protrusions to enhance corrosion resistance.
